Entre Ciel et Terre
2002 - 2003A work created while on a residency at Est-Nord-Est on the Saint Lawrence River in Canada looking at the migration of snow geese.
Birds act as an echo; of a far distant place from which they journey; of their appearance and disappearance; of permanence and fragility; of the seasons; of a sound; of foreboding, and of hope; a symbol of life and death; of continual return.
Research for this work took place as part of a residency in Québec during the spring of 2002, funded by Wales Arts International, and La Centre Est-Nord-Est.
