Location: United Kingdom and ireland

I am very pleased to be a participant in this process of recording, curating and archiving through oral histories, the lived experiences of feminist artists in the UK and Ireland from 1970 to the present day. The aim has been to document engagements between feminisms and the visual arts across both islands with particular interest in events, groups and networks as well as how new ideas developed and changed art in all its complexities. Once completed this audio archive will be housed in perpetuity with the Digital Repository of Ireland (DRI) ensuring that the material will be accessible to scholars, students, teachers and the general public. The FAMH project has been funded by UK’s Arts & Humanities Research Council (AHRC) and by the Irish Research Council (IRC).
