My work comes from a deep rooted frustration with current socio-political contexts, often addressing recurring themes of discrimination and govermental failings. I work with performance installation and video involving skilled performers such as rappers, swimmers or football players who activate an installed environment reflecting the themes I am addressing. My practice is heavily research based, looking into historical archives or working on the ground work with groups such as families, prisoners, school children. Many of my projects contain supporting publications containing interviews and reference material from the research phase. Each work is informed by a current situation which is context specific on a national or global scale.
