EDITORIAL

November's Artist of the Month we've selected Cat Bagg who, along with her own artistic practice is also part of the curatorial partnership 'Field Notes'.

Axisweb is seeking to appoint three new trustees to our board - artist, commissioner and digital.

Our Vacant Space Coordinator Harlan Whittingham recently staged a live action role play event in the Ridings Shopping Centre in Wakefield. We talk to him about the event titled 'Quarantine' and how it was received by the people of Wakefield.

Do you have a project that you'd like to undertake in one of our Vacant Spaces? We've put a call-out for commission proposals for our Axisweb members which includes a fee of £250 and free use of our spaces in Wakefield.

We have a number of filming commissions underway this month. We've been filming the Artists in Residence at The Art House: Joey Chin and Buhle Wonder Mbambo and are also filming at this year's Engage Conference on the 13 and 14 November.

Our regular Archive feature is a Rant by Fern Thomas and Owen Griffiths which explores collaborative working and asks whether an individual sense of practice can be lost amongst the group’s agenda.
