FAQ

What is Live Out Loud?

Axisweb have decided to create a new piece of audio content called 'Live Out Loud'. This will involve two or three artists discussing a specific topic, the artists will be categorised based on their practice or personal life. The host of the conversations will be our Research and Development Coordinator, Lucy Wright. Lucy is an artist, maker and researcher herself and will be providing some prompts and questions to our guests, but mostly the artists  have the freedom to take the conversation in any direction they wish to.

The content will be approximately 30-60 minutes in length.

Why did we choose 'Live Out Loud' as a title?

Many titles were suggested when we discussed the idea of a new content based around artist led conversations, however 'Live Out Loud' represented a quote that we all admire; "If you ask me what I came to do in this world, I, an artist, will answer you: I am here to live out loud."

How can I listen to the conversations?

The audio content will be uploaded, weekly, to our website and SoundCloud account - more information about this will become avaliable shortly, so make sure you stay tuned!

What are the chosen conversation topics so far?

  • Practice in Isolation
  • Social Practice in the Era of Social Distancing
  • A New World Order
  • Taking Care

Plus more to come...

When will the first conversation be available?

We're still in the process of approaching and interviewing artists for 'Live Out Loud' but hope to have the first conversation online in the next couple of weeks. We'll publicise this in our e-bulletin and across social media.
